Job Title: Domiciliary Night Care Staff (Waking and Sleeping Nights)

Location: Covering Cumbria, Lancashire, and North Yorkshire

Pay Rate: £15.00 – £18.75 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Night Care Staff to provide overnight care services, either as waking or sleeping support. The role involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of service users in their own homes during the night. Ideal candidates will have a caring nature, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities 

Waking Night Duties:

  • Continuous Monitoring: Stay awake  throughout the night (if waking) to ensure the service user’s safety and well-being.
  • Personal Care: Assist with toileting, repositioning, medication reminders, and any urgent needs.
  • Household Support: Light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, or any changes in the service user’s condition.

Sleeping Night Duties:

  • On-Call Assistance: Be available for any emergencies or service user needs during the night.
  • Personal Care (if required): Attend to occasional support requests, such as toileting or reassurance.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in domiciliary or residential care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • A caring and empathetic attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred due to the nature of travel).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
